It is on the mountainous region of Kwahu, highest habitable place in Ghana that Bôhten began its journey. Nana Boateng Osei, Founder of Bôhten, had the initiative to use reclaimed material to manufacture an eco-luxury eyewear line.
Inspired by the vision of positive change and the potential of re-using natural resources, Bohten is committed to producing high quality eyeglasses from reclaimed materials. We source our wood from the heart of West Africa. It is then hand-crafted to our specifications in a zero waste facility in Japan.
Bohlen’s mission is to develop a compost management initiative that reuses environmentally reclaimed materials to design our stylish, contemporary eyeglasses. Through this, we join other bold initiatives who seek to change the face of Africa with a vision that advocates the creation of opportunities and the progression of social and environmental awareness for all.
