We’re the Dong Family!
Let us introduce ourselves! We are Dr. Iwona (pronounced ee-VOH-na) and Dr. Jon Dong, and yes, we are a husband and wife team thrilled to be starting this adventure together!
Jonathan Dong, O.D.
Dr. Jon is a Kent native and grew up right in the neighborhood! He first met the world down the hill at Valley Medical, grew up in the Kent School District and graduated from Kentridge High School. After finishing a degree in Physiology at the University of Washington in Seattle, he attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where he met Dr. Iwona.
Iwona Miltko Dong, O.D.
Dr. Iwona was born in Białystok, Poland. Her family moved to Chicago when she was almost 3 years old. She went to school in the Chicagoland area, and then attended Benedictine University, a small private university in Lisle, IL, to study Biology and Spanish. She then went to the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where she met Dr. Jon.
Krystian & Anastazja
Anastazja and Krystian are our two young children and grew up right here in the eye clinic. As the clinic's youngest members, Anastazja and Krystian bring a special energy and enthusiasm to the clinic, and they are always eager to assist in any way they can. These two hang around and make sure their parents stay in line and always keep life interesting!
The See Saw Eyecare Story
During our time in optometry school we found our passion for pediatric and developmental vision care. We focused our time learning about how to help every patient reach their full visual potential. When we had the awesome blessing of welcoming our babies, Krystian in 2019 and Anastazja in 2020, we found there was no greater joy than to watch our child grow and develop. Our goal is to ensure that poor vision is never a barrier for any of our patients to reach their goals.
So we are pleased to welcome you to See Saw Eyecare - Our mission is to provide care that is high quality, always accessible, and unexpectedly fun! As new business owners we welcome your suggestions to make this clinic the best it can be.

See Saw Eyecare is located in the location where Dr. Gary Smith practiced at East Hill Vision Clinic since 1984. We welcome back all returning patients of Dr. Smith and thank him for his long service to the Kent community and well deserved retirement.
